Just a quick update on the moorhen chicks in my local pond, they're growing! I snapped this picture today as I walked past, looks like they're losing their black "fluff" and looking all together more adult, they can certainly swim fast! I noticed that the parent birds have made another nest and are sitting on more eggs, a second brood perhaps, it'll be interesting to observe their progress over the Summer!
