While away in the Cotswolds this weekend we treated ourselves to a nice Cru Bourgeoise from Chateau Beau-Site in St. Estephe (Bordeaux) I've had this wine a few times over the years and it's usually pretty reliable. Not expensive but very typical of the classic Bordeaux blend of Cabernet and Merlot, delivering up red fruits and blackcurrant with a nice tannic core, went brilliantly with the steak I had for dinner.
