So, what's it like when a leading light in the new wave of craft brewers has a go at making a traditional English bitter?
Answer: bloody marvelous!
One of my favourite producers at the moment, DEYA (Cheltenham) has created a traditional malt-forward bitter (Best Foot Forward), at around 4% ABV it's everything you could want from a classic pub Bitter. Low carbonation, malty, caramel, with a background of flowery hops, a delicious way to start the weekend!
