An old wine treat the other evening, this beautiful Beaucastel from the Southern Rhone (France) inky, dense, rich with a wonderful liquorice edge to it. I was fortunate to buy a case of this back in 2003 for roughly £30 a bottle, if you were to order this in a London restaurant it would set you back around £500 (such are the crazy wine mark-ups and inflation these days!)
