SRM

I was in the Nags Head a couple of weekends ago and had a pint of DEYA "Steady Rolling Man" on cask (see above) It was glorious! Usually this beer is served from a Keg, i.e. artificially carbonated and under pressure but having it from cask where it's naturally carbonated and pumped manually opens up a whole new world of flavour. Don't get me wrong, the keg version is pretty damn fine but this one is like a different beer altogether, the flavours seem deeper, the beer is much smoother and I would argue much easier to drink (which is probably a dangerous thing as it's around 5% ABV) It's good to see some of the leading craft ales available on cask, a welcome change for us (usual) keg-heads.
