Ever lost a big deal or been rejected for a job opening; don't worry it happens to everyone, I once met a lady who works as a book publisher and "passed" on Harry Potter, she is still in therapy, but others go on to greatness, see above, even genius isn't always recognized at first.

I can't say that has ever happened to me. There are though a few employers whose employment offers I turned down!
HV, I haven't been to a job interview for about 20 years or more, I guess you reach a point when that kind of thing is mostly about referrals etc., but when I was on the market I did do a few that I failed to get! Not to have ever been rejected for a position at all is an amazing record though.
