Nice visit to Jane Austen's (last) house in a little Hampshire village called "Chawton", near Alton today. It was a beautiful day so we decided to drive down there and have a look around, having never been before. It's only a small place but interesting none the less, my Daughter is doing A-Level English and was fascinated by all the nick-nacks, jewelry, clothes, paintings, writings and furniture etc. Afterwards we dropped into Alton itself and since there wasn't much going on there we headed over to Winchester for a bite to eat and a beer, lovely walking along the Itchen in the Sunshine.
