Hyperbolic Reframing - a classic religious tactic, "
if you're not with us, you're with the Devil" etc. It's popular with all the main mono-theisms, particularly Islam and Christianity (of various flavours), but there is a remedy in my view, if more people understood the idea of a logical fallacy and had some basic critical thinking skills then just maybe, we could put this odorous ploy to bed in the world once and for all?
