90 Second pint

I was in Reading (Berks) just over a week ago on a Friday afternoon in order to pick up some last minute bits for our annual holiday. Anyway, I walked to the train station and around town (around 8 km) in the heat of the afternoon sun (phew!) and worked up a decent thirst. Luckily we're spoiled for choice WRT excellent watering holes in this town (that should be a city) and so I dropped into the Nags Head, off the Oxford Road, for a pint of (cask) PUPA from Vibrant Forest (New Forest, Hampshire) It was outstanding, such a flavoursome brew at 4.5% ABV and on cask has even more depth and character than can/keg. This one didn't touch the sides, a 90 second pint! Unfortunately I had to get home to cook some dinner so only had time for one, ah well, the Summer will hopefully last another month or two yet!
