In preparation for the post on Friday here's a memory from our visit to Chile last year. It's one of the Cathedrals in the City centre and illustrates perfectly the opulence of the Catholic Church when compared to some of the bone crushing poverty we also witnessed there (i.e. adults sifting through the contents of rubbish bins after dark..) Of course there's plenty of poverty to be had on our little planet on all the inhabited continents, that's not what I'm highlighting here, it's the contrast.
