Spent Easter Monday over in deepest Surrey visiting my mum who lives near Frensham Pond. We were lucky with the showery weather and managed a 5k walk through the woods and around the lake without a spot of rain, the only impediment was the sudden hatching of millions of midges on the way home (no sign of them on the way out) Fortunately they didn't seem to be the biting kind and we made it back with nothing more than a slightly itchy feeling in our scalps..
