Like most "holy" books I've ever read, I find that they reliably contain the odd poetic truism and often reflect common Human musings about how to live a good life, but, unfortunately this is invariably interspersed with vast tracts of waffle, regurgitated mythology and parochial nonsense, clearly man-made and clearly reflecting the concerns of the people who wrote them.
Fascinating from an historical and literary point of view but little else IMO.
